If you haven’t had a chance to check out the FIRST Robotics competition, click here to watch this amazing group of high school inventors from Camdenton, MO put their robot through its paces in a head-to-head competition.
This year’s accomplishments include:
- Winning the 2015 FIRST Arkansas Rock City Regional Chairman’s Award
- 2015 Industrial Safety Award from Underwriter’s Laboratory
- 2015 FIRST St. Louis Regional Industrial Safety Award
- 2015 St. Louis Regional Motorola Quality Award
Most recently, this team competed at the FIRST World Championships in St. Louis, Missouri held 4/22/15 through 4/25/15. There were approximately 42,500 visitors at the event at the Edward Jones dome. At this event, the Camdenton LASER Robotics Team was in contention for the prestigious Chairman’s Award and was awarded the “Pit Safety Award” out of 152 teams in their division! Mr. Mitch Comer, Head Coach and Technology Instructor at Camdenton High School, stated: “the students had a great experience.”
